I wrote before about the Significant evidence exists showing coordination and mutual support between the LD3 Chairman Stuart Scurti and his wife Colleen Scurti and Misty Portwood and her Mob. Co-Chairwoman Colleen Scurti and Chairman Stuart Scurti has disputed the alignment saying “…accusing the Chair, Stuart Scurti, and myself of working with Candace Czarney to disrupt and destroy LD3. This is completely false!” and “neither my wife, Colleen, or I , have ever met Candace Czarny, we have never spoken to Candace Czarny and we have never communicated with Candace directly or indirectly through any form of communication or intermediaries. The above statement by second vice chairman Brian France (spelling) is without merit and without proof.”
In a clear strawman and gaslighting argument, the Scurtis ignore the direct quote which does not allege a direct contact between the Scurti’s and Czarny, but rather says: “Significant evidence exists showing coordination and mutual support between the LD3 Chairman Stuart Scurti and his wife Colleen Scurti and Misty Portwood and her Mob. Portwood was previously exposed using Antifa BLM tactics in the Legislative District. It appears they are unfortunately working with them and with the Czarny fake LD. Portwood added several Czarny board members to her propaganda chat “AZ LD3 GOP Connect”. Czarny also requests her PCs complete a legal brief form and send it. See Screenshots and excerpts below:”
On August 12, 2025, Candace Czarny sent the below email with a section titled “LD3 Patriots Choose Mission Over Politics” mentioning the August 7th, meeting where her allies voted exclusively with the Misty Mob. At that meeting, Chariman Scurti for the second consecutive meeting refused to recognize Jerry Knorr, despite his motions being noticed twice, instead giving preference to his mouthpiece who made not one but two motions at a time in such a confusing motion, that she had to literally ask during New Business “Stuart tell me what to say” to which the Parliamentarian replied “the member can ask the Chair for help in articulating/forming the motion”. With 1 minute left before the approved 9:30pm adjournment time, the Chairman Scurti pushed through what appeared to be a coordinated and pre-planned violation of the bylaws regarding an appointed committees. Although not during the meeting, immediately after adjournment the Parliamentarian Jeff Greenspan reviewed the bylaws and then “agreed the motions/committees that the Chair created was out of order and violated the bylaws.”
Czarny goes on saying “until an army of orange cards rose in defiance” and directly quoting Chairman Scurti during his Chairman’s report on “the real mission getting Republicans elected.” and “When those orange cards shot up across the room like a sea of rebellion.” and “Less than 10 souls stood with the disruptor’s power grab” and “The tide has turned.” Indeed Czarny and her group are “still in charge.”
- The LD3 Bylaws state the Chair may only appoint temporary committees that are included in his duties. NOT the secretaries and certainly not a Discovery committee he is on which would represent a conflict of interest:
“Article 4 A 6a
v. Appoint Temporary Committees as necessary to handle the temporary project and District needs that are a District Chair’s responsibilities of office.”

Further, a Standing Elected Membership Committee is empowered by the bylaws in ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP Section A. Precinct Committeeman (PC) Requirements:Section C. Duties 6 c
3. A “Discovery Committee” appointed by the chair made up of the chairs allies and of which he is a member (nonvoting or other) and will direct the actions fully as is his pattern and style is clearly trying to usurp the investigation and recommendation duties from the elected Membership Committee.
Further, At the End of the LD3 Meeting Misty Portwood’s Husband Robert Portwood, While Armed with a Gun, Allegedly Made a Credible Death Threat to “Kill” the Chair of the Membership Committee
